We know that students learn differently and perform their best when instruction is tailored to the student's academic strengths and weaknesses. After a thorough educational evaluation of the student, we customize our curriculum to best fit the individual student. Students have the option of combining our classes with other programs including public, private, or home school, as well as transferring credits to our accredited high school graduation program. All the credits they acquire in our school are transferable to any other private or public school. By combining the best learning environment, teachers, and curriculum, we are able to teach in a way that synchronizes with the student's learning style and ability. This method of educating builds motivation as students grow and succeed in their educational environments. Classes While individualized teaching yields great results, group sessions are also important to re-enforce a child's social skills. Both options are available at River Rock Academy. Tutoring Services Individualized teaching creates a more favorable atmosphere for learning and allows for immediate, positive and corrective feedback to help the student stay on track. Educational Consultation We can work with your chlid's school to set up an Individualized Educational Program for your child in one or more subjects while they are enrolled there. Our Services include... Full-time K-12 School: Personalized schooling options tailored to the student's academic strengths and weaknesses. The only school that offers the option to have classes done in our classrooms or at the student's house. Educational Achievement Testing: To determine present level of performance or academic achievement. It is important to get your child tested by an outside entity other than the school they are enrolled in, to ensure student's academic performance at the expected level. Educational Consultation and In-School Support: We will work with the school that the student is enrolled in, so that we can prepare them according to the expectations of the classroom teacher. Our certified teacher will go to their school and pull them out of their classroom to work with them one-on-one to bring them up to grade level. After-School Tutoring and Homework Support: Our expert teachers will travel to the student's home to provide after-school tutoring and homework support. We also provide administrative support that includes communication and consultation with the school to ensure student's daily performance at the expected level. Home-School Support: To help parents provide the best education to their home-schooled kids, we will provide assessment, lab facilities, and certified teachers to teach difficult subjects like Chemistry, Physics and higher level Math. We will also help them with SAT/ACT preparation. They also have the option of transferring the home-school credits to our accredited high school program and graduate with a traditional high school diploma. Summer and Evening Classes: Earn extra high school credits or improve your GPA in 6 weeks or less. Accredited Advanced Placement Classes and Dual Credit courses are available through University of Nebraska Lincoln ISD. These credits will be transferred to their school upon completion of these courses. SAT/ACT Prep and Study Skills: Students will perform better at standardized tests if they are thorough with their basic skills in Mathematics and English. Students do better in school if they acquire the necessary study skills early in life. American students are ranked eighteenth in the world in academic performance, while a small country like South Korea tops the ranking. With our globalized standards, we make sure that each student performs at level or better than the students in other developed countries.
